Brora Rangers were crowned Highland League champions on the final day of the Highland League season when they defeated Rothes 7-2 at Dudgeon Park on Saturday.

It is the fifth time in the club’s history that they have won the Highland League with Steven Mackay being involved in all of their league triumphs as player and manager since their first title in 2014.

Now they will look to become only the second club to earn promotion from the Highland League to League Two by winning the play-offs.

The first leg of the semi final will take place at the Ross Commmercial Finance Stadium in East Kilbride on Saturday, April 26 at 3pm.

The second leg of the semi final will take place at Dudgeon Park in Brora on Saturday, May 3 at 3pm.

The winner will then face the team that finishes bottom of League Two for a place in the division next season.

Bonnyrigg Rose, who won promotion from the Lowland League in 2022, are favourites to finish bottom of League Two. They are seven points adrift of Forfar Athletic with three games remaining in the regular season.

Brora Rangers ran riot in their final game of the Highland League season to clinch the title with Shane Sutherland scoring four of the seven goals.

Connor Bunce, Michael Finnis and Max Ewan also all found the net.
