Sutherland pick up first win of the Highlands and Islands League season with victory of Nairn St Ninian





SUTHERLAND Women picked up their first win of the Highlands and Islands League season as they won 3-1 at Nairn St Ninian.

The game was locked at 1-1 at half time before Sutherland showed their superiority in the second half to secure victory and pick up three points.

Bethany Sutherland gave Sutherland the lead after five minutes but Laura Russell equalised for Saints before half time.

Simone Coles regained the lead for the visitors in the second half before Sutherland got her second to secure victory.

Sutherland are back in action on Sunday, April 27 when they face Buckie with the match scheduled to be played at Stafford Park at Golspie.
