Lochinver grab the points with a last-gasp winner
A LATE winner from Jake Lockett gave defending champions Lochinver all three points in a thrilling 4-3 home victory against fellow North West Sutherland league side Kinlochbervie last Saturday.
Daniel Hutchison gave Lochinver the lead in the 12th minute but Colin Fulton levelled eight minutes later.
Ally MacLeod restored the home side’s advantage with a goal in the 25th minute and Stuart MacKay stretched the lead 11 minutes later.
However, KLB reduced the deficit five minutes from the break when Ricky Wardrop netted.
Robert MacRae squared matters midway through the second period before Lockett

cut in from the left in the 75th minute and curled a finish into the bottom corner for the winner.
Tongue United held on for 3-2 win over Golspie Stafford at Bettyhill.
United’s Gareth Orr was the scorer of the only goal of the first half on the stroke of half time.
Stafford were reduced to 10 men early in the second half when Josh Meville was red carded.
United then doubled their lead shortly afterwards when Michael Gunn scored. It looked all over when Ally Robertson
added a third but the 10 men staged a late fightback.
Graeme Sutherland pulled one back in the 82nd minute with a shot from outside the 18-yard box and George Jones headed home a second.
But Tongue managed to hold out against the 10 men to secure the points.
Embo survived the loss of a goal in the first minute by Roddy MacKay to run out 4-2 winners at The Meadows.
Craig MacKay levelled following a great run and pass from Garrick Taylor.
Mark Munro gave Embo the lead with a 35 yard drive which flew in off the rigging, and Michael Newlands made it 3-1 shortly afterward following a good move.
MacKay scored again for Embo with an angled drive before Jordan Hagon scored from the spot for Dornoch.
Lairg Rovers were awarded a 3-0 walk-over against Melvich.
