Golspie Sutherland hit Bunillidh Thistle for six as they cruise to Sutherland derby victory in North Caledonian League
GOLSPIE Sutherland are now just three points off the top of the North Caledonian League after they cruised to a 6-0 win over Bunillidh Thistle on Wednesday night.
In a one-sided encounter at King George V Park, Morgan Kennedy scored twice with Sam Barclay, Mike Maclean, Grant Macnab and David Murray all getting on the scoresheet.
The win moves Golspie on to 39 points and just three points off leaders Invergordon, but they have played two games more. Golspie Sutherland are not in action this weekend.
Bunillidh Thistle remain bottom of the table with just one win all season. They will look to lift themselves off the foot of the table tomorrow when they are scheduled to face Orkney at Couper Park with kick-off at 12.30pm.
Bonar Bridge went down to a 4-0 defeat against Inverness Athletic at the Highland Football Academy in Dingwall on Wednesday night.
Kieran Goddard glanced home a Sam Mackay free kick on the stroke of half time to give Athletic the lead. Calum Neil doubled their advantage midweek through the second half. Oscar Beattie made it 3-0 nine minutes before the end with Mackay grabbing a fourth at the end of normal time.

Bonar Bridge will look to bounce back when they are scheduled to take on St Duthus in Tain with kick-off at 12.30pm.
Invergordon moved to the top of the table on goal difference when they defeated Alness United 2-0 at Dalmore Park.
Invergordon are in North Caledonian Cup action tomorrow when they take on Thurso at Recreation Grounds.
In other North Caledonian League matches tomorrow, Alness United take on Halkirk United at Dalmore Park with Inverness Athletic taking on Clachnacuddin A at North Kessock.
