Brora Rangers drop off the top of the Highland League as two goals in the space 60 seconds give Brechin City victory at Dudgeon Park.

Brora Rangers lost their place at the top of the Highland League as a quickfire double early in the first half gave Brechin City victory to put them in pole position in the title race.
Ewan Loudon scored twice in the space of 60 seconds which saw Brechin head back down the road with all three points and now three points clear of Brora, with both teams having six games remaining in the season.
Brora now head to Keith on Wednesday night looking to stay in touch with the new leaders with Brechin heading to Inverurie Locos during midweek.
The hosts were left stunned as Brora took the lead with two goals in the space of two minutes early in the first half.
Brechin took the lead in the 17th minute when Michael Finnie’s attempted clearance clattered off Loudon on the edge of the box. The ball deceived goalkeeper Cammy Mackay as it flew straight into the net.
Sixty seconds later, Brechin doubled their advantage with Loudon charging forward unchallenged before firing a thunderous effort which beat Mackay into the bottom right hand corner.
Brora Rangers came close to pulling one back 10 minutes before half time when Tony Dingwall’s free-kick into the box found Connor Bunce’s header who forced a fine save from Lenny Wilson.
The Cattachs had a great chance to pull one back at the start of the second half when Shane Sutherland was left unchallenged at the edge of the six-yard box but nodded wide of the right post.
They went close again when Bunce’s header into the box found Matthew Wright eight-yards from goal but he could only shoot straight at Wilson as he gathered the ball safely.
Brora Rangers attempted to put on the pressure in the closing stages of the match, but Brechin managed to see the game out without conceding for a 2-0 victory.
