Brora Golf Club member is crowned North Winter Golf Alliance champion as season comes to an end
BRORA Golf Club member Ross Naismith came out on top as he was crowned champion for the 2024/25 North Golf Winter Alliance season.
He took victory by over six shots to claim the overall title for the season with Frank Mackie from Tain in second place with 288 and Billy Ferries from Tain in third place with 291.
In Handicap Class One section, Paul Mackay from Tain came out on top to win with 271, with Graeme Mellis from Invergordon with 284 and Neil Macrae from Durness 288.
In Handicap Class Two, Ryan Mackay from Tain claimed the Mackintosh Salver with a score of 270. Roy Page from Wick was second on 271 and Mike Keay from Portmahomack was in third place on 272.
In the Ladies Competition, Laura Durrand from Thurso claimed the title on 295 with Fiona Harper from Wick second on 296 and Maggie Jamieson from Golspie third on 298.
Reay Golf Club claimed the team title.
