Wick meeting to set up Caithness and Sutherland Literary Association

Plans are being made to establish a literary association for the far north that will run book club sessions and a children’s writing competition.

A meeting is scheduled for Mackays Hotel in Wick on Saturday, March 15, starting at 11am.

The goals of the new Caithness and Sutherland Literary Association will be to run an annual writing competition for primary pupils; organise a book club to read and discuss classic literature; encourage libraries to have a “classic collection”; and foster a love of literature.
