Bingo
Bingo at Strathy Hall on Friday from 7pm. Raffle, tea/coffee included. Baking donations welcome. Proceeds to go to the Scottish Junior Surf Team for the world championships in Brazil. The team includes local surfers Olivia Mackay and Craig Mclachlan.
Bonfire Night
Durness bonfire and fireworks at Lerinbeg, Durness, on Friday from 7pm. Burgers, hotdogs, hot chocolate and mulled wine on sale.
Live Music
Trad band Assynt play at Doll Hall, near Brora, on Friday from 7.30pm. Tickets £12/£10 online from Eventbrite and at the door. A Sutherland Sessions event.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4
Back Yard Ultra
Golspie Back Yard Ultra at Dunrobin Castle on Saturday from 10am. A type of ultramarathon where runners run laps of a set course on the hour every hour until one runner is left. Proceeds in aid of Highland and Islands Blood Bikes.
Foraging Workshop
Berry foraging and fungi identification workshop at Raven's Rock, near Rosehall, on Saturday 10am-12pm. Book via eventbrite.

Bonfire Night
Dornoch and District Community Association's Bonfire Night on Saturday begins with a gathering at the town square at 6.30pm followed by a torch-lit procession, led by a piper, to Meadows Park at around 7pm.
The bonfire and fireworks display kick off at around 7.30pm and a spectacular display is guaranteed.
Herchers side show, burger van and free sparklers. No charge for entry but donations welcome.
Paranormal Evening
Highland Paranormal group evening at Othin House, Helmsdale, on Saturday 8pm-10pm. A chat about all things ghostly.
