FRIDAY, APRIL 4

Coastal Walks

Dornoch Firth coastal heritage survey walks. Archaeologists from the SCAPE Trust, University of St Andrews, are conducting coastal heritage survey walks along parts of the southern coast of the Dornoch Firth on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Family Quiz

Golspie Youth Action Project family quiz at Fountain Road Hall on Friday 6.30pm. Seven people to a table; must include one person under the age of 16. Teas, coffees and juice available. £15 per table. Book in advance via Facebook.

Bingo

Bingo at Strathy Hall on Friday 6.30pm. Books £10 for 10 games. Prizes for the lucky number. Free teas, coffee and juice. A fundraiser for Portskerra and Melvich Village Hall.

Live Music

Cellist and composer Riccardo Pes performs at the Ceilidh Place parlour, Ullapool, on Friday 7.30pm. Free but ticketed. Call 01854 612103 for a ticket. Riccardo will also be appearing at Rosehall Village Hall on Saturday from 7pm.

Easter Picnic

Bring a picnic and enjoy a fantastic day out at Davochfin Farm, Dornoch, on Saturday 11am-2pm. Barrel rides, crafts, lamb cuddles, see the chicks, visit the lambing shed, bouncy castle. £5 per person . www.davochfinfarm.co.uk

Community Cinema

Community cinema at Timespan, Helmsdale, on Saturday, 11am-1pm. The film to be screened is Metamorphosis (85 minutes) which explores how humanity is being transformed by the environmental crises we have created.

Community Boat

Find out what is next for the north coast community boat Grace at an information session in Borgie Cabin on Saturday 11am. There will be news of upcoming events and activities such as plans for sail and mast making.

Easter Tea

Easter high tea at Strathnaver Hall on Saturday. 12pm-3pm. Tea, Easter Egg hunt, crafts for all ages, Lucky Dip and Win the Giant Bunny. £8/£4 includes crafts and egg hunt. Facebook message the hall to book.

Film and Ceilidh

Rhilochan Ceilidh 2016 Film at Pittentrail Hall, Rogart, on Saturday 7.30pm. A 45-minute film will be screened of outtakes from the BBC’s 2016 This Farming Life. Refreshments and ceilidh to follow.

SUNDAY, APRIL 6

Repair Cafe

Repair cafe and jumble sale at Ardgay Hall on Sunday 1pm-3pm. Please bring anything you would like fixed (clothing small electricals/mechanical equipment). £5 donation. Jumble sale items 50p or £1. Teas and coffees.

Organ Recital

Organ recital in Rosehall Church of Scotland on Sunday 3pm-4pm. Music for all ages from John Brozovsky. Tickets £5 at the door. School age children free. Tea, juice and home baking in the interval. Everyone welcome.

MONDAY, APRIL 7

Gardening Club

Edderton and District Gardening Club meets on Monday at Edderton Village Hall 7.30pm. Dave Brown will talk about carnivorous plants. All are welcome. Refreshments provided. For more information, call 01863 766061.

TUESDAY, APRIL 8

Screen Machine

Mobile cinema the Screen Machine will be parked opposite the fire station at Bettyhill on Tuesday and will screen the animated action comedy film Dog Man from 2pm. This screening is adapted to be welcoming to people with autism and other neurodivergent or additional support needs.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9

Community Meal

Farr Eats community meal at Armadale Hall on Wednesday. The hall will be open from 10.30am serving teas and coffees, and meals will be served at 12.30pm. To register your attendance, call 01642 521777.

Health Walk

Partnership for Wellbeing guided health walk at Skelbo Woods, Dornoch, on Wednesday 11am. Email: Jayne@p4w.org.uk

Music Session

Open music session at Invercassley tea rooms every Wednesday 7.30pm. All welcome. Bring an instrument or two.
