FRIDAY, MARCH 28

Coffee Morning

Spring coffee morning at Brora Primary School today 9.30am-11.30pm. A fundraiser for the Highland Hospice, the primary school and early learning centre, and Brora Youth Club. Donations of baking welcome.

Bingo

Bingo night at Rogart Hall tonight 7.30pm. Entry £5 includes a bingo card and refreshments. Raffle. BYOB. A fundraiser for the hall.

Community Market

Community market at Fountain Road Hall, Golspie, on Saturday 11am-3pm. Free entry.

Coffee Morning

Coffee morning at Helmsdale Community Centre lounge on Saturday 11am-1pm. Piano music from David Baines.

TUESDAY, APRIL 1

Walk

Join the countryside ranger for a four-hour coastal walk from Balchladdich to Stoer Lighthouse on Tuesday 11am-3pm. £5. Book on Eventbrite.

Opera

East Sutherland Live Arts and Entertainment screen Turandot at Brora Community Lounge on Tuesday 7.15pm. Puccini’s captivating opera of a cold-hearted princess and her mysterious suitor.

Community Meal

Farr Eats community meal at Strathnaver Hall on Wednesday. The hall will be open from 10.30am serving teas and coffees, and meals will be served at 12.30pm. To register your attendance, call 01642 521777.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2

Walk

Join a far north naturalist for a gentle, two-hour stroll on RSPB’s Forsinard Flows Nature Reserve on Wednesday 6pm-8pm. Learn about the peatland habitat and birds and plants from the comfort of a boardwalk and flagstone trail. Look across the spectacular Ben Griams SSSI. £10/£5. Talk

Golspie Heritage Society talk at The Welcome, Station Road, Golspie on Wednesday 7.30pm. Alistair Jack will give a talk entitled ‘Caithness at War’.
