Book Event

St Duthac Book & Arts Festival is bringing crime author Neil Lancaster to Tain as part of its St Duthac Day event on Saturday. Doors open at 1pm at the Masonic Lodge, Manse Street, Tain, with tea, coffee and baking available for a donation, plus second-hand books on offer and a raffle. Mr Lancaster will speak from 2pm. Tickets £5 available from Ticketsource.

Prize Bingo

Prize bingo at Strathnaver Hall on Saturday 7pm. Raffle, prizes and refreshments. £1 per ticket/£5 per book. All proceeds will go to the hall repair fund.

Quiz Night

Edderton and Gledfield quiz night at Ardgay Hall on Saturday 7pm. Teams of four; entry by donation; raffle and prizes.

Sound Bath

Sound bath and breakfast at the Kyle of Sutherland Hub on Sunday from 9am. Enjoy an hour soaking in the relaxing sounds from the singing bowls followed by a scrumptious continental breakfast. To book message the hub’s Facebook page.

Meet, Greet and Eat

Meet Greet and Eat at the megacaf/youth club in Melvich every Monday 12pm-2pm. Soup, sandwiches and cakes. Everyone welcome. Provided free of charge by Melvich Community Council.

Community Council

Golspie Community Council meets in Golspie Community Lounge on Monday from 7pm when SSE officials will give a presentation on how the community can manage its own wind farm benefit funds.

Ardgay 50

Meeting at the Community Bothy, Ardgay, on Wednesday 6pm to discuss celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of Ardgay becoming part of Sutherland.
