WATCH: Tourists try to pronounce 8 difficult Inverness place names

Inverness is known for its tourism, and as the capital of the Highlands it has hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

In light of this, our reporter, Annabelle Gauntlett, took to the streets of Inverness to quiz some of the city’s fellow tourists on a few difficult to pronounce local place names.

A variety of Australians, Americans and even Canadians attempted to take on the challenge, but how do you think they did?

Here are the eight Inverness place names that made the line up:
