Volunteers needed for Carbisdale Forest trails maintenance work party
Volunteers are being sought to help maintain a scenic woodland walk in Sutherland on Saturday, April 11.
Culrain and District Hall Committee is organising a work party to clear overgrown vegetation from paths and trails in Carbisdale Forest and carry out other maintenance work.
A spokesperson for the hall committee said: “All volunteers are welcome but no dogs please. Stout footwear and work gloves are essential and please bring loppers and saws - power tools are not permitted.”

Volunteers are asked to meet at the hall at 10am sharp for the work session which will last until 2.30pm after which soup will be served.
The hall has an agreement with Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) which owns Carbisdale Forest, to maintain the paths.
FLS has previously said it appreciates the efforts of community groups.
