Venture North’s 2025 Tourism Gathering to be held in Brora
Venture North, the destination management organisation (DMO) for Caithness and Sutherland, is holding its annual Tourism Gathering in Brora next Wednesday, March 26.
The event at the Royal Marine Hotel will bring together hospitality and tourism businesses, community organisations and industry leaders for a day of “collaboration, insight, and opportunity”.
The theme of the gathering is ‘Unlocking Potential: Shaping the North Highlands as a Destination of Choice’, and will feature presentations, discussions, and question and answer sessions.
Speakers include representatives from the Scottish Tourism Alliance, the Flow Country Partnership, the North Highland Initiative, Caithness Chamber of Commerce and Brora Heritage Society.
Chris Taylor, Visit Scotland’s director of destination development for the Highlands and Islands, said: “The Tourism Gathering provides a chance to look at how we can continue to grow the value of the visitor economy and to inspire visitors to explore all year round.”
Demand for this year’s event has been overwhelming, with places selling out quickly and a waiting list in place.
Trudy Morris, chief executive of Caithness Chamber of Commerce and a director of Venture North, said: “Venture North continues to lead the way in shaping a sustainable and thriving tourism sector in the North Highlands. With a proven track record and a commitment to collaboration, it is a powerful and compelling advocate for our region. The enthusiasm for this year’s event underscores the passion and ambition driving our tourism industry.
“We look forward to an inspiring day of connection, bringing together partners, businesses, and stakeholders to explore new opportunities and unlock the immense potential of the North Highlands as a premier destination of choice.”
