An Ullapool crab has been spotted hitching a ride with a local jellyfish.

Captured by local environmentalist, Noel Hawkins, the dynamic duo were seen bobbing about together at Ullapool Harbour on July 3.

Noel Hawkins, describing the scene, said: “A crab joyriding a jellyfish at Ullapool Harbour! I’m not sure how it got there, but the expression ‘Catch a tiger by its tail’ comes to mind…”

The video has gained attention on social media, with one commenter stating: “Jellyfish can have pets too.”
