Two men in court on Monday following Invergordon 'incident'
Police Scotland had earlier this week issued an appeal for information from the public after the incident, which happened within a property on Invergordon's High Street on Tuesday.
Both of the men, aged 27 and 48 respectively, will be kept in police custody until their expected appearance at the court on Monday.
The injured man, who has not been named, remains in Raigmore Hospital in what police describe as "a serious but stable condition".
Police have meanwhile issued a fresh appeal to the public for information about the incident.
