TSB Tain is helping an East Sutherland school get match-ready for the new season by giving away quality match footballs for free.

The TSB football giveaway, which rewards schools affiliated to the Scottish Schools’ FA, will see over 300 secondary and primary schools receive five FIFA approved match balls.

It’s hoped the new equipment will help to keep schools playing organised football, a vital part in the physical and behavioural development of thousands of pupils across Scotland.

Golspie High School will be presented with their new match balls by staff from TSB Tain on Monday.

Lesley Corbett, Customer Assistant from TSB Tain, is proud of the role the bank is playing in supporting local communities. She said: “We are delighted to present Golspie High with their new footballs. Good quality equipment is vital to the on-going enjoyment of sport and we hope our match balls can play a small part in nurturing young footballing talent in communities across Scotland.”

The match ball giveaway is just one of the ways that TSB is helping schools in its role as partner of the Scottish Schools’ Football Association. The bank already operates a travel fund offering funding support to schools competing in TSB competitions. New playing kits are also provided to all competition finalists, as are official team buses for the schools.
