Traffic delays expected in Inverness tomorrow night as Caley take on Rangers
Police Scotland are encouraging supporters attending the Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Rangers match at Inverness tomorrow night to enjoy themselves and to do so responsibly.
Kick-off is at 7.45 pm and Police Scotland will be supporting the clubs to ensure the experience is a safe and enjoyable one for all supporters before, during and after the game.
Police Commander Superintendent Ross Mackillop advises: "We are expecting a big crowd so I would ask people to arrive in plenty of time and be aware stewards and police officers will be present throughout to ensure supporters of all ages can enjoy the match in a safe environment.
"We will hopefully see more than 6,000 supporters attending the game and I want to remind all fans that no alcohol is allowed within the stadium and anyone found to be drunk and trying to enter the ground will be committing a criminal offence.
"There will be increased traffic and demand for parking across the city. Drivers are reminded delays are to be expected around the stadium area between 6.15pm and 10.30pm so please plan ahead if you’re travelling on Friday evening.
"Pedestrians will be crossing at the stadium and home supporters are reminded that the recognised pedestrian route is along StadiumRoad so please take care and follow all instructions from officers and staff."
