Three people taken to hospital after multi-vehicle accident on A9 north of Dalwhinnie
Three people were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after a van and two cars were involved in a collision on the A9 north of Dalwhinnie yesterday evening
Emergency services have been in attendance at the scene between Etteridge and Wade Bridge following the accident which occurred at around 7pm.
It is understood that no-one suffered any serious injuries.
The accident involved two French nationals travelling in a red Vauxhall Corsa, a silver BMW 3 series and a Vauxhall Vivaro van.
The van driver was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital but was described by an eye witness as 'walking wounded' and the two women in the Corsa have been taken there by road ambulance as a precautionary measure.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 7pm to a report of a crash on the A9 northbound near Newtonmore involving three cars.
"The vehicles are being recovered."
The van ended up on its side off the road and the Corsa sustained significant damage to the front of the vehicle.
