Sentence deferred on Brora teenager who admitted being in possession of photos of young boys
A sheriff has deferred sentence again on a Brora teenager who had admitted possession of pictures of young boys at an address in Inverness.
Eighteen-year-old Nathan Bradley was to have been sentenced today at Inverness Sheriff Court for possession of the illegal images in May 30 of last year, and a breach of bail condition by being in possession of play station on Christmas Eve, which would have given him access to the internet.
But when he appeared from custody for sentencing, Bradley admitted three further breaches of bail.
Bradley, of Golf Road, Brora but now an inmate at Polmont Young Offenders Institution, admitted further charges today – that, having been granted bail on June 20 last year on condition that he did not access the Internet, between September 1 and October 8 he was in possession of a mobile phone, on October 8 he accessed the internet using Facebook, and on March 12 this year he again breached bail by being in possession of a mobile phone and internet router.
The offences took place at View Place and Ardross Street in Inverness.
Sheriff Neilson heard in March last year, police received information and obtained a search warrant on May 30, 2014, and went to Bradley’s address which was then in Ardross Street, Inverness.
Depute fiscal Roderick Urquhart said police took possession of various articles including two pen drives.
One contained 184 indecent images of young boys and an indecent video.
The second pen drive contained the same video.
“He said he downloaded the material from the internet and he was sexually attracted to young boys no younger than 10 and he was receiving counselling.”
Today, Michelle Molley, depute fiscal told the court between September 1 and October 8 he accessed the internet on 818 occasions and he had also being using Facebook and been in possession of a mobile phone.
In view of the further offences Sheriff Neilson said she would need to defer sentence again to get an up to date criminal justice social work report and a Joint Sex Offenders programme report.
Bradley will appear for sentence on June 8.
