Reward for information on Dornoch toilets vandalism increased to £525
The reward on offer for information leading to the identification of vandals who damaged public toilets in Dornoch has been increased.
Cllr Jim McGillivray, East Sutherland and Edderton, offered a £100 reward after the vandalism was discovered in early March.
Attempts were made to set a toilet seat on fire, and sinks, toilets, and floor drains were blocked. Taps were left on to flood the building, and graffiti was sprayed on the walls.

Cllr McGillivray said he had received further “generous donations” and the reward pot now stood at £525.
Highland Council initially closed the public conveniences in the county town, with a spokesperson saying: “We cannot continue to repair them until we are satisfied that the daily threat of vandalism is reduced.”
However, it is understood the facility is now open during the day but closed from 8pm to 8am.
Dornoch Community Council is now considering the installation of CCTV.
