PICTURES: 'A great community effort': Golspie Rowing Club's torchlight parade lights the way





Golspie Rowing Club has been congratulated on the success of its Hogmanay torchlight parade.

Around 350 people took part in the parade which took place from 5pm on New Year's Eve.

The route went along the village’s promenade from the former Highland Council offices to the Seafront Centre.

Rowing club members had made up 150 torches.

There was a bonfire and hot drinks and mince pies were on offer at the centre, One of the club's boats was launched.

Local businessman John Murray said: “It was a great community effort for Golspie and well done all involved.”
