BRITISH Open winners Paul Lawrie and Sandy Lyle, along with Ladies Golf Tour professional Kelsey Macdonald, are to play an exhibition match at Royal Dornoch Golf Club on Tuesday.

This will be one of the most exciting events in the club’s 400 year anniversary celebrations.

It is a 9-hole mixed exhibition match which starts at 1pm.

Paul, Sandy and Kelsey will be playing in the company of 12 juniors who are the best from the junior section of the club, during which they will be passing on their knowledge, while the spectators will get the chance to watch how three of the world’s top professionals tackle some of the holes on the championship course.

Royal Dornoch anticipates that the unique format of the three pros playing with four juniors each for three holes, and then swapping so that every junior gets to play with all of them, will allow the juniors to gain help and feedback about the game of golf, while the pros can show both juniors and spectators the breadth of their talent.
