MacMoray Festival adds Red Hot Chilli Pipers to 2025 line-up

The world’s most famous bagpipe band is coming to MacMoray Festival.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers are playing at the Elgin Festival, which will take place in Cooper Park across the weekend of April 19 and 20, 2025.

The band’s line-up consists of three Highland bagpipers and a traditional marching snare, backed up by a five, six or seven-strong band.

It will be the first time that the Pipers - who cover famous songs by world-renowned bands - have appeared at MacMoray Festival.

Organiser Andy Macdonald said: “When we asked the people to comment on who they would like to see, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers were one of the most requested.

“So it’s with great pleasure that I announce they will now be playing at MacMoray.”

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers are the second act confirmed for the festival, adding to Baccara - the Spanish duo who sung well-loved Scottish football favourite Yes Sir I Can Boogie.

The Easter event could be the final MacMoray - although organiser Andy Macdonald has been inundated with offers to keep it going.

Adult weekend tickets for the event are currently available for £65. For full ticket information, visit www.macmoray.com
