No change as councillors Richard Gale and Hugh Morrison retain top places on Sutherland County Committee
Councillor Richard Gale, who represents the East Sutherland and Edderton, ward, has been reappointed as chairman of Highland Council’s Sutherland Area Committee.
His appointment was made yesterday at the first meeting of the committee since this year’s local government election.
Cllr Gale said: “I am delighted to be reappointed as chairman and look forward to continuing to help and serve the people of Sutherland.
"Our committee is focused on ensuring that Sutherland is seen as a positive destination for working, living and visiting.
"There are many challenges to be addressed but I am sure that, working with our partners and other stakeholders we can make a difference."

He was not present at the meeting but later accepted the appointment.
