The new edition includes significant new material gathered since the first edition was published in 2022. The new information has come to light as a result of further research, as well as input from members of the public.

As well as the book, Major General Marriott initiated a project to install a large memorial stone at Ferry Road, Golspie, close to where the skirmish took place.

The new edition explains the history of the stone and the intention behind the whole project.

The book, priced at £7, is available locally from Dunrobin Castle, Historylinks Museum, Dornoch, Dornoch Bookshop, Ferrycroft Visitor Centre, Lairg, Lindsay’s, Golspie, and Mitchells Chemist, Golspie.

It can also be ordered by email: battleoflittleferry@gmail.com

All profits from the book will go to Golspie Heritage Society.
