Inspector Ross Wilson said: “We are continuing to carry out inquiries to trace Thom and are asking for the public’s help.

“It is out of character for him to be out of contact with his family and friends, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“We would ask anyone who may have seen Thom, his vehicle, or who has information that could assist, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Mr Kane was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black North Face jacket.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1769 of April 25.
