Carol Ball (17) enjoyed a string of successes in national swimming, athletics, and gymnastics competitions in September.
She competed in four competitions in Cumbernauld, Grangemouth, Dundee, and Cardiff and brought home a haul of medals.

The event is a track and field competition.
She returned home to Golspie with a gold medal in her class for the long jump and two bronze medals for the shot put and javelin.
On September 15, Carol was part of the Highland Disability Swim Team that competed in the Dundee City Disability Sport Discovery Games - Swimming Gala.
Once again she tasted gold, winning three gold medals in her class in the 50m butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke.
Her most recent success was as the only Highland competitor at the British Disability Artistic Championships held at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff on September 28.
She won two bronze medals after finishing third in the all-around and on vault.
She also finished fourth on beam, fifth on floor, and sixth on bars.
Golspie High School later posted: “Amazing effort, Carol; we are so proud of you, well done.”
Carol attends Fyrish Gymnastics Club, Alness, and travels monthly to the City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club, which has a dedicated training room for disabled athletes.
