Reported Nessie sightings in 2020 number 13 with mother and daughter latest to spot 'something strange'
As 2020 finally draws to a close, another Nessie sighting has been recorded bringing the total this year to 13.
The last-minute entry on the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register was submitted by local resident Louise Power and her mother, Jennifer Macrae, after a walk along the Great Glen Way above Temple Pier at Drumnadrochit on November 15.
They said they saw "something strange" in the water less than half-a-mile away from where they had gone for a walk.
Ms Power said: "There was a wake after it and during that time it did not disappear - it just kept moving slowly.
"Then it turned towards Dores with a big wave and just went under the water and disappeared."
She added: "I just couldn't believe it. It was quite big and whitish grey. I couldn't put an exact size on it - other than it was big.
"We have both lived here all our lives and we have never seen anything like that before."
Gary Campbell, who keeps a register of encounters at www.lochnesssightings.com, said although visitor numbers to Loch Ness and its attractions had been severely curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was still a strong year for sightings
