Local photographers capture stunning images of Red Arrows in skies over Dornoch Firth, Easter Ross and Sutherland

Three local photographers have sent in stunning images of the world-famous Red Arrows training runs that thrilled lucky onlookers in the Highlands area at the end of February.

Zara Macdonald, William Sutherland and David Richardson captured amazing shots of the RAF team, one of the worlds premier aerobatic display teams.

The famous Red Arrows, who are based at RAF Waddington, flew into RAF Lossiemouth on February 24 and were seen training in the sky over the Dornoch Firth, Easter Ross and Sutherland.

Enthusiastic spectators could not have asked for better conditions, with plenty of sunshine.

The squadron’s latest visit to the region comes almost exactly a year to the day since their last training exercises in the Highlands and Moray.
