Links House at Royal Dornoch to feature on BBC series Scotland's Greatest Escape tonight
Luxury boutique hotel Links House at Royal Dornoch features in an episode of Scotland’s Greatest Escape tonight.
The hotel, which is located next to Royal Dornoch Golf Course, features in the second episode of the second series of the popular BBC Scotland programme, which will be shown tonight at 8pm.
Over the course of eight episodes, the show aims to highlight some of the most breathtaking getaways that Scotland has to offer with one of them being crowned “Scotland’s greatest escape".
Each week three stunning locations are visited with the final contender in each category goes through to the final.
In tonight's episode, entitled 'Luxury', the judges visited three luxury escapes – Links House, Dornoch, Gilmerton House, near North Berwick and Cromlix, Dunblane. Cromlix is owned by tennis star Andy Murray and his mother Kim.
A blurb for the programme reads: "Afternoon tea and tennis lessons are tested at Kim Murray's hotel, Cromlix. Georgian mansion Gilmerton House puts on a private chef and at Links House, a private flight is arranged for guests."
Links House posted a clip of the programme on its social media site, saying: "We're delighted to be featured as part of Scotland's Greatest Escape's luxury accommodation collection."
Links House, which dates back to 1843 was built as a church manse. The eight-bedroom property is owned by American investor Todd Warnock.
