Lairg and District Community Initiatives appoints new board chairman





Lairg and District Community Initiatives (LDCI) has appointed a new head.

Robert Johnstone has taken up the role as board chairman of the community development organisation.

Mr Johnstone succeeds Kaye Hurrion who stepped down at the group’s AGM earlier this month.

He was appointed as a director of the board in 2017 and has served as its treasurer and secretary.

Mr Johnstone told a meeting of Lairg Community Council on Wednesday that LDCI was currently concentrating on developing a Place Plan for Lairg, local input into which would guide LDCI’s next project.
