Inverness to Aberdeen services cancelled after train breakdown

Breakdowns have led to the cancellation of five services between Aberdeen and Inverness today (29 April).

The 2.28pm Inverness to Aberdeen service has been cancelled due to a fault on the train. The 4.22pm Inverness to Elgin service has also been cancelled due to a train fault and the 6.02pm Elgin to Inverness service has been cancelled for the same reason.

Two services from Elgin to Inverness and Inverness to Aberdeen have also been cancelled today due to broken down trains and faults.

The disrupted Inverness to Aberdeen services were the only cancellations reported across the ScotRail network at the time of writing.
