‘Incredible response’ to crowdfunder for new eco-distillery in Dornoch
There has been an “incredible” response to a crowdfunder launched to fund a new £8 million eco-distillery in Dornoch, it has been reported.
Dornoch entrepreneurs Philip and Simon Thompson launched the fundraiser earlier this month, hoping to raise at least £1.8 million to help build the new Struie Distillery on a site at Dornoch South.
The brothers said in a social media post that the project had been “overfunded in under 24 hours on Crowdcube during Early Access.”
“What an incredible response, we’re absolutely humbled,” they said. “A heartfelt thank you to our amazing community for believing in our vision.”

The fundraising campaign is still open and a link to it can be found on the Dornoch Hotel Facebook page.
