Harrison Ford lights up the Highlands as ‘favourite’ film for Glenmorangie drops

IT’S been difficult to avoid Hollywood legend Harrison Ford’s fond foray through the Highlands and islands promoting a whisky produced in Ross-shire.

Glenmorangie single malt, distilled in Tain, has gone large with its latest campaign which features a string of tongue-in-cheek short films featuring the Star Wars icon getting to grips with everything from the kilt to the pronunciation of the brand.

Now, striking projections of the star have lit beauty spots across the Highlands to mark the latest episode drop of Glenmorangie’s Once Upon a Time in Scotland film series.

Head-turning visuals of the Blade Runner and Indiana Jones icon wearing his kilt illuminated Scottish landmarks and landscapes, including the Three Sisters of Glencoe, Castle Stalker and Dunrobin Castle.

The spectacle celebrates the release of Ford's favourite episode, The Mountain, in the Once Upon A Time in Scotland series, directed by Joel Edgerton.

Ford, who famously dropped in unexpected on an Easter Ross inn for Sunday lunch while staying in the area, also filmed amusing promos at the Tain home of the Glenmorangie Distillery and at Ardross Castle, already well known around the world as host to the reality TV hit, The Traitors.
