Gunns from around the world set to gather in Caithness
Gunns from around the world are heading to Caithness for the clan's 20th international gathering.
More than 50 people will be taking part in a busy week of activities, having travelled from the USA, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Norway as well as other parts of the UK.
Previously, gatherings had been held every three years but in 2018 the clan decided to change it to every four years – which means it hasn't been disrupted by Covid restrictions.
Members will assemble in Inverness today and over the next two days will visit Culloden battlefield visitor centre, Cawdor Castle, Loch Ness and Drumnadrochit.
They will travel north by coach on Wednesday, stopping off at Dunrobin Castle before arriving in Thurso, their base for the rest of the week.
On Thursday the Gunns will go to Bettyhill and the straths of Naver and Kildonan as well as visiting Dunbeath Castle gardens and the Clan Gunn Heritage Centre at Latheron.
After a drinks reception hosted by the clan chief, Iain Gunn of Gunn, and his wife Bunty, there will be a ceilidh in Clyth hall.
Friday sees a visit to Castle Sinclair Girnigoe and a high tea at the Norseman Hotel in Wick.
The clan will hold its annual general meeting at the Ross Institute in Halkirk on Saturday morning before a kilted march to Halkirk Highland Games.
The gathering will be rounded off with a formal dinner in Thurso's Pentland Hotel that evening.
