Contestants were placed in a new Tulloch show home at Braes of Conon, and blindfolded – and then had to predict when an hour had passed.

Claire Gordon, of Ross Street, was just 23 seconds off hitting the hour mark.

The 32-year-old was competing against four other finalists – Linda Reid of Dingwall and Cara MacGregor, Alister McCorquodale and Donald Campbell all of Inverness – and was the one who successfully predicted to the closest second when an hour had passed.

However, the other finalists were hot on Claire’s heels, with the competitor coming in last place being only eight minutes off the hour – all making for a nail biting finish.

The competition, which was in collaboration with MFR, took place on Saturday and the station’s breakfast DJ, Ginno Conti, was there to hand over the final prize to Claire.

All five competitors were placed in a separate room of Tulloch Home’s new three-bedroom Grant show home. Each one was blindfolded whilst distracting music was played in their ears through headphones. All five were asked to guess when they thought an hour had passed.

Claire, who is married to Richard – the couple have two children, Carol (8) and Callum (4) – emerged from the room at 59 minutes and 37 seconds.

She said: “I just heard the competition on MFR and entered on a whim. I couldn’t believe it when I was picked at random to be a finalist.

“I was genuinely shocked when I was told I was the winner, but I am delighted and plan to take my family to Turkey for a holiday with the money. So a big thanks to Tulloch Homes.”
