Driver from Kinlochbervie fined for speeding in Thurso

A speeding Sutherland driver was fined £240 at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

First offender Donald Mackay (27) also incurred three penalty points after he pleaded guilty to the offence which occurred near the Weigh Inn, at Thurso, on November 11, last year.

Police officers clocked the accused, of Aberaw, Kinlochbervie, at 65mph in a 40mph limit.
