Dornoch's new community car clocks up 3k miles since launch earlier this year

Managers of Dornoch's Community Transport scheme say its electric car is in demand.

The vehicle has been in use three to four days per week since the project was launched in April, and has clocked up more than 3.000 miles, it has been reported by Dornoch Area Community Interest Company (DACIC).

Local residents' main reason for requesting the car is for transport to medical appointments at Dingwall and Inverness. However, it has also been used for local trips to Golspie, Tain and around Dornoch and Embo.
