Delays expected on roads during Belladrum and Black Isle Show
With two major events taking place next week in the Black Isle and Kiltarlity areas, Police Scotland is advising motorists to plan ahead.
The Black Isle show and Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival start on Thursday 4 August and the roads around the area are expected to be busier than usual.
Divisional Road Policing Inspector Gus Stewart said: "With the return of these popular events we are taking this early opportunity to advise the public to plan ahead when travelling on the roads leading to the events and allow plenty of time.
“There are a number of temporary restrictions in place surrounding each event and those attending should use the travel advice provided by both organisations to approach the event in the most appropriate direction to gain access to parking. Attendees should also use the information provided by organisers in relation to arrival times to minimise delays particularly at peak times.
"Additionally I would like to take this opportunity to remind drivers of the change to the drink drive limit and to be aware that you may still be over the limit the morning after a night out. Our advice is do not drink any alcohol if you are driving, there is no safe limit.
"For the duration of the events we will work alongside the organisers for the Black Isle Show and Belladrum Tartan Heart festival to support them with their traffic management plans to minimise disruptions. We hope these attending both events have an enjoyable time and by following the advice of the organisers any delays are minimised."
