Mystery over disappearance of Carbisdale Forest sign for second time

A newly erected location sign at the publicly owned Carbisdale Forest has disappeared, it is reported.

The Forestry and Land Scotland sign was erected on forestry land to the right of the drive behind the entrance gate to Carbisdale Castle at around 10.30am on Tuesday, December 10.

But it was removed within two hours and there is no trace of it.

A local resident said: “This is the second time this has happened and Forestry and Land Scotland have confirmed that they have not removed the sign.”

He added that the incident had been reported to police.
