Ferry passengers are being urged to check sailings before travel amid warnings of possible disruption in the Minch on Saturday.

CalMac has advised that two ferry sailings between Stornoway and Ullapool are "liable to disruption or cancellation" due to a combination of "strong northerly winds and sea swell conditions".

The journeys at risk are the 3.30pm Stornoway departure and the 7pm sailing from Ullapool.

The ferry operator added that "livestock on these sailings will be assessed on a case by case basis".
