CalMac cancels Tuesday Ullapool-Stornoway sailings amid 46mph winds, with Wednesday under review





Ferry sailings from Ullapool to Stornoway for Tuesday have been cancelled and Wednesday sailings “liable to disruption” amid 46mph gust speed winds, Calmac Ferries has confirmed.

In an update at 2.15pm the ferry operator confirmed that strong south-westerly winds, with gusts up to 46mph, have resulted in passenger and freight sailings being cancelled for Tuesday, March 5, with Wednesday currently under review.

A statement from Calmac Ferries on their website reads:

“Tuesday 4 March - Due to strong South Westerly winds gusting up to 46mph, all sailings have been cancelled

“Wednesday 5 March - Due to forecast adverse weather, all sailings are liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.”
