Balintore man given unpaid work after two incidents of threatening behaviour

A BALINTORE man has been placed on a community payback order after admitting two charges of behaving in a threatening manner.

Christopher Andrews, Abbotshaven, appeared at Tain Sheriff Court today having previously pleaded guilty to the charges.

The 28-year-old admitted shouting, swearing and uttering offensive remarks to a former partner at a property in Lochslin Place on October 9 last year..

And he also admitted on October 16 entering another property at Lochslin Place uninvited, acting in an aggressive manner there and repeatedly shouting.

It was said in Andrews’ defence that he had no previous convictions and these were the first matters that had brought him to the court’s attention.

As part of the payback order, Sheriff Gary Aitken ordered Andrews to complete 120 hours of unpaid work within a year. He also imposed a six-month non-harassment order, banning Andrews from entering an address at Lochslin Place.
