Acting CAB manager now appointed as permanent postholder
Rachel Sutherland has been appointed manager of the East and Central Sutherland Citizens Advice Bureau (ECSCAB) after filling the position on an interim basis since last November.
The announcement was made earlier this week by ECSCAB chairman Mike Small, who said he was delighted that Ms Sutherland was now occupying the post on a permanent basis.
She joined the bureau in 2017 as deputy manager before taking on the top job in an acting capacity in November last year.
The post became vacant following the departure of previous manager Rhionna Mackay to become manager of Lairg and District Learning Centre.
Ms Sutherland said she was looking forward to continuing to support the bureau’s advice team as they provide help, information and advice to people across east and central Sutherland.
“Coronavirus and the ongoing impact has meant the service is needed now more than ever,” she said.
Ms Sutherland writes a monthly ECSCAB column in the Northern Times in rotation with other bureau members. The organisation’s next column is due in the June 12 edition.
