Scottish island Eilean Mullagrach near Achiltibuie listed for £500,000

A Scottish island in Wester Ross has been put up for sale - for just £500,000.

The Summer Isles are a group of around thirty islands varying in size which are renowned for their beauty and are located across from Achiltibuie on the mainland.

Galbraith selling agents have now listed the most northerly Summer Isle, Eilean Mullagrach, for just £500,000.

The uninhabited island is up for sale alongside Mullagrach House — a coastal five-bedroom one-bathroom home a few miles away on the mainland in Polbain, Achiltibuie. Sellers of the property are looking for offers over £395,000, or offers over £895,000 for both Eilean Mullagrach and Mullagrach House.

Eilean Mullagrach is just over 35 hectares, and has a coastline of rocky beaches, cliffs and caves. The island is known to be inhabited by sensitive flora species and many bird breeds including great skua, kittiwakes, shag, fulmars and geese.

The island also includes a cabin, which contains a kitchen, wood burning stove, box beds, solar panels and an outdoor toilet.
