Lest we forget: Remembrance services 2024 in Sutherland

Communities across Sutherland will as usual hold services and lay wreaths at war memorials and cemeteries on Remembrance Sunday, November 10, to commemorate British service members who have died in wars and other military conflicts since the onset of World War I.

Services will take place as follows - all services are on Sunday unless otherwise stated:

Ardgay: 11am service at war memorial.

Bettyhill: 10.45am service at war memorial

Bonar Bridge: 10.30am service at war memorial

Brora: Parade leaves from lorry park at 10.25am for

10.45am service at war memorial

Dornoch: Parade assembles at 10.30am in the Square before heading to the war memorial for a

10.40am service

Edderton: 11am service at war memorial

Gledfield Primary School service today (Friday) at

10 am at Ardgay War Memorial

Golspie: Parade gathering at 10.30am by pier before moving to war memorial for 11am service

Helmsdale: Gather at Bridge car park from

10.15am. Parade at 10.30am to war memorial for service

Lairg - 10.45am service at war memorial

Lochinver : 11am service at war memorial

Loth: 3pm service at war memorial

Melness: 10.45am service at the cemetery

Melvich: 10.45am service at war memorial (also on Monday , November 11. with Melvich Primary School)

Rogart: 10.45am service at war memorial

Rosehall: 10.15am wreath laying at war memorial, followed by church service

Scourie: 10.45am service at war memorial

Skerray: 2pm service at war memorial

Syre: 2.45pm service at war memorial
